FIRST IN MATH!
Dear Parents & Students,
Our class is going to try out a new math software! You can access it online and practice math problems. I will students their password in class.
Here are the directions:
1) Go to www.firstinmath.com
2) Type in Login and password
3) Click Play
4) Click on "Check The Facts"
5) Complete Addition first, then Subtraction, Multiplication & Division
Email me if you have any questions or forgot your login!

CHALLENGE PROBLEMS OF THE WEEK 12/14/09
1) 15% of the students at Southeast Middle School received a dress code violation. What FRACTION of the students did NOT receive a dress code violation? (Must be in simplest form.)
2) You and your friends ordered the CRAZY MIX TOPPINGS pizza. 1/6 of it is green peppers, 1/10 of it is pepperoni, 7/30 of it is mushroom, 1/5 of it is pineapple and the rest is sausage. What fraction of the pizza is sausage? (Put answer in simplest form.)
3) Where do the decimal points go?
A. 3 4 5 + 9 4 3 2 = 12.882
B. 1 7 8 2 - 4 5 = 13.32
C. 9 8 4 6 2 3 5 + 1 2 3 5 4 9 9 = 110,817.34
